Tour of Local Rain Gardens

The City of Tallahassee, funded in part by the Section 319 Nonpoint Source Management Program Implementation grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency through an agreement with the Nonpoint Source Management Section of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, began a program of demonstration rain gardens in 2007. An abbreviated list of these gardens is found below. Grantees agreed to allow TAPP to photograph these gardens for a period of five years in order to assess their ability to assist in containing stormwater runoff. You are invited to view these gardens from the street. Please refrain from entering these private properties. In the case of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, the garden is easily accessible and you are welcome to visit.
